Internships with Global School of Sports Ministry
The Global School of Sports Ministry: Internship Program was created to offer a variety of internship tracks to those interested in ministry work, using and developing their gifts and abilities, and making a global impact through sports ministry.
Each internship position will fall into one of these categories, or a combination of these categories, depending on the intern’s availability, gifts, and desired area of growth and experience:
- Media & Creative Management
- Communications & Fundraising
- Alumni Engagement & Spiritual Development
- Administrative Support
All internship roles will have intersections on projects, so teamwork and communication is paramount and necessary for each intern.

Internship Role Descriptions
Below are the descriptions for each internship role. As noted above, all internship roles will have intersections on projects. The helpful skills listed are not requirements but are reference points for skills you will develop during this internship.
Media & Creative Management
This role includes social media management, creative for social media and regular newsletters, designs for printed and emailed materials, and other design elements. A branded style guide is provided, as well as training on Canva (design platform) if needed. Creation of at least 2 social media posts per week is expected. Project ideas/starting points will also be provided and will allow for creativity and ownership of the role.

Communications & Fundraising
This role includes creating fundraising plans for specific projects, as well as teamwork with the creative intern to create monthly newsletter updates shared via mail and email. This intern will be provided with reports, photos, and updates from students, alumni, and staff, and will be expected to turn those reports into sharable updates for the Media & Creative Intern. Project ideas/starting points will also be provided and will allow for creativity and ownership of the role.

Alumni Engagement & Spiritual Development
This role will cultivate community among GSSM Alumni, current students, and staff. Because we are an online school, we connect with our community via email, social media, and WhatsApp. This intern will collect and communicate prayer requests with the GSSM staff or community, create ideas or programs to connect with alumni, share alumni updates with the Communications and Media interns, and cultivate general engagement throughout the GSSM community. Project ideas/starting points will also be provided and will allow for creativity and ownership of the role.

Administrative Support
This role will support the GSSM staff and interns in administration and project management. This intern will help with facilitating and sending monthly newsletters, managing the intersections of all intern projects, communicating office organization needs (supplies, printed materials, etc.), processing donations and other mail, and other administrative tasks. This role will require at least 1 day per week of in-office work.
